This tool supports video streaming to Adobe and Wowza media servers.
RTMP or the real time messaging protocol is supported on a reliable transport system, the TCP. Adobe’s Real Time Messaging Protocol (RTMP) provides a bidirectional message multiplex service over TCP. It is to support reliable stream transport. The stream transport carries parallel streams of video, audio, and data messages, with associated timing information, between a pair of communicating peers. Implementations may assign different priorities to different classes of messages and thus affect the order of the underlying stream if capacity gets constrained. RTMP Streaming Directshow Filter allows your application streaming the video and audio content to Wowza Media Server and Adobe Media Server. This is a Windows platform tool and is compatible right up to Windows 8. This tool thus lets you deliver a live stream at the same time to Adobe Flash Player, Apple iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch) or Apple TV digital media extender, Roku and Amino set-top boxes, Microsoft Silverlight, DASH clients, and RTSP/RTP-based players (including 3GPP smartphones and tablets, and Android devices).
The filter supports the Base, Main, or High H264 profiles when encoding a media stream. It will support “pause” and “resume” functions of the stream. It helps specify the encoding quality. Applications written in any programming language supporting Directshow components can integrate this component. Thus languages like the Visual C, C#, Delphi etc. are suitable for the development work. When integrated into an application and when that application is distributed, this component will not attract any royalty as the developers do not charge that.
